UMa LANÇA UM NOVO GUIA

O Guia do Aluno foi disponibilizado em versão digital a partir do ano letivo 2011|2012. Os motivos para esta alteração aliam a necessidade de contenção orçamental, o fator ambiental e, fundamentalmente, a atratividade pelas Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação por parte do nosso público-alvo, fruto do seu dinamismo e facilidade de disseminação.

Classes will be taught in English.

All the courses available in 1st semester of the 1st year will have classes in Portuguese.

Exams will always be available in Portuguese and in English.

Students will be able to express their doubts in classes, in Portuguese, if they so wish, and the support and assistance to students outside classes will be done in either of the two languages.

Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers are apt for the analysis, specification, project, industrialisation, commercialisation and use of products and services using technologies such electronics, telecommunications and computer networks as basis and information technologies as support. Electronics and Telecommunications engineers graduated from UMa will be able to: Plan and design telecommunications systems, data networks, electronic devices (analogue and digital) and signal processing; Implement and maintain information systems; Promote research and technological development in telecommunication systems and computer networks.

Main Career Options

Services: banking, insurance companies, tourism, culture and entertainment; Industry: planning, design, production and maintenance of telecommunications systems and networks; Public Administration: central, regional and local administration; Creation of self-employment opportunities: there are governmental and community funds for innovation and entrepreneurship which may allow a high potential for success and growth.
