UMa LANÇA UM NOVO GUIA

O Guia do Aluno foi disponibilizado em versão digital a partir do ano letivo 2011|2012. Os motivos para esta alteração aliam a necessidade de contenção orçamental, o fator ambiental e, fundamentalmente, a atratividade pelas Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação por parte do nosso público-alvo, fruto do seu dinamismo e facilidade de disseminação.

The 3rd cycle of studies in Chemistry on offer at the University of Madeira provides advanced training in this area of knowledge, leading to a Doctorate degree. This cycle of studies is based on human and physical R&D&T existent at the Madeira Chemistry Centre (CQM), which is a research unit funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology. This cycle of studies comprehends the completion of a high quality and international R&D&T project. Throughout the academic path, students will be able to produce knowledge, present and discuss the results of their research in international scientific meetings, publish in peer review scientific journals, demonstrate their organisational management skills and be able to present new ideas and outline projects.

Admission Requirements

Those who meet the following requirements may apply to the third cycle of studies (cf. Decree-Law No. 74/ 2006, of 25th March, republished by Decree-Law No. 115/ 2013, of 07th August):

a. Holders of a Master’s Degree or legal equivalent;

b. Holders of a degree who present a relevant academic or scientific curriculum to attend this cycle of studies and acknowledged as such by the Scientific Council;

c. Holders of a relevant academic, scientific or professional curriculum to attend this cycle of studies and acknowledged as such by the Scientific Council.

Each PhD programme has specific admission requirements. For further information please refer to article 1 of the PhD specific Regulation.
